Timeline
2022–2024
In 2022, Workleap's innovation lab began work on a new product: an AI-driven platform to manage workforce skills, create development plans, and offer a tailored internal job board.
The concept of Skills quickly evolved beyond being just a database of skills to a complete career planner for employees that let them create growth plans, mark roles that they were interested in working towards, and even a job board powered by AI automations.
- I led the UI design for the "Skills" project, from initial sketches to launch.
- I worked closely with the development team to integrate AI-generated recommendations, ensuring that designs aligned with technical feasibility.
- I collaborated with HR/People teams and project stakeholders – including Workleap's CEO – to define product direction and features.
- I incorporated ongoing feedback into the design iterations.

The project came to life through several iterations and names, Portrait and Talentscope, before being absorbed into the overall rebrand GSoft undertook to become Workleap. Ultimately, the decision was made to release the product as Skills, a product within the Workleap suite, alongside Officevibe and Onboarding.
